Ezzel a címmel jelent meg egy cikk a Figyelőneten, és ezzel én is mélységesen egyetértek, ennek a fontossága miatt írtam ezt a bejegyzést. Ezzel kapcsolatban hadd meséljek el egy személyes történetet.
Még 1999 kimentem Németországba egy néhány hónapos szakmai gyakorlatra, és mivel hónapokra nem kaptam volna szabadságot, ott kellett hagynom a munkahelyemet. Mikor hazajöttem, egy jó pár hónapig eltartott, amíg megfelelő állást találtam. (faipari mérnökként nem volt nagy választék, pláne hogy válogatós voltam). Nem volt sok álláshirdetés ebben a szakmában, de szépen eljárogattam azokra az interjúkra, amik voltak.
Hogy hasznosan töltsem az időt, emellett beiratkoztam egy intenzív angol nyelvtanfolyamra, napi 4 órát+otthon tanultam a nyelvet, és közben különféle munkákat vállaltam, pályázatírástól kezdve az értékesítésig. Így utólag visszagondolva ennél jobb döntést nem is hozhattam volna. Ennek köszönhetően 2 hónap intenzív tanulással megtanultam annyira angolul, hogy legalább eladni már nem tudtak, írott szöveget viszonylag jól értek, valamennyire a beszédet is, egy kicsit még beszélni is tudtam. Most már egy kicsit bánom, hogy miután elhelyezkedtem, ezt nem folytattam tovább.
Szabadidő és pénz egyszerre?
Pár év elteltével, most már más élethelyzetből visszatekintve belátom, hogy sosem lesz olyan, hogy valakinek egyszerre van sok szabadideje és pénze is (kivéve gazdag örökösöket). Mikor az ember úgy érzi, hogy most már bőségesen van tanulásra fordítható pénze, akkor van a legkevesebb ideje tanulni, és amikor lenne idő tanulásra (mert nincs munka), akkor jellemzően a pénz is szűkös.
A két helyzet között az a nagy különbség, hogy az elvesztett pénzt lehet pótolni, de az elvesztegetett időt nem. Ha a válság miatt visszaesnek a megrendelések, és kevesebb időt visz el a munka, az a legjobb alkalom a tanulásra. Még ha egy kicsit meg is kell húzni a nadrágszíjat az egyéb kiadások terén, akkor is érdemes most pénzt szánni a tanulásra. Egyébként is többre megyünk a tanulással, mintha a t.künket vakarnánk.
Előbb-utóbb úgyis véget ér a hét szűk esztendő, és ha beindul a dömping akkor már sokkal kevesebb idő lesz tanulásra. Sőt, a megszerzett tudást ekkor nagyon jól fog jönni.
A balesetvizsgálat tréningnek is az volt az egyik fő célja, hogy a kollégáimat és állandó alvállalkozóimat egy kicsit továbbképezzem, és aki gyakorlott a munkabalesetek vizsgálatában, abban is rendszerezzük a tudást.
